Filianism some of its own terminology which can be confusing to those new to the faith. Here are some of the more common ones.
Avala - The 'jeweled paradise' of The Daughter, a place souls may go after they pass from earthly life, in between incarnation on earth.
Anthea - patroness/Janya of flowers
Athamë/Athamëlic - disharmony, unbalanced, antitheses of thamë/thamëlic
Brighe/Brighë - Janya of Bridges, liminal spaces
Déa/Dea - Title of God as used by many Filianist
Ekklesia - the body of Filianist/Deanist devotees
Filia - daughter
Genia/Geniae - original term for the Janyati
Hera - an enlightened soul (plural helati)
Herthe/Herthë - Janya of the hearth and home
Hestia - a Filianist's/Deanist's home
Irkalla - Dark One/Dark Queen of hell
Janya/Janyati - An emanation, or essense, of Déa
Kala - the first day of the Eastre cycle, and also a form of the janya Sai Werdë
Keres - malefic entities, similar to demons
Khear/kear - the chasm that exists between a soul and Déa
Kyria - title given to The Daughter
Madrian - the precursors to Filianism identified themselves as Madrians, followers of the Mother
Moura - the thirteenth month of the Filianic calendar, and the fifth season seen as fasting and spiritual renewal
Rayati - a Filianic greeting, meaning 'hail to the sun in you'
Thamë/Thamëlic - Balance, harmony, divine order
Werdë - fate or destiny
Wheel of Werdë - the wheel, or cycle, of fate that includes birth, death, and rebirth
